Nick Fury Agent of Shield, Vol. 1 #1B

Fury is testing the viability of using L.M.D.s instead of humans as agents to reduce the loss of human life. A sample L.M.D. based on Fury himself is felled by four gunshots, but Fury only fired three during the test. Before this mystery can be unraveled, Scorpio attacks S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, claiming credit for the assassination of Nick Fury. The real Fury arrives, and beats Scorpio in hand combat, but doesn’t get the chance to unmask him before he’s shot by stray fire from a nearby and unrelated robbery.
